The sixth album from San Fransisco Indie Rock trio, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. The first album since their original drummer was sacked, replaced by Raveonettes tour member. Beat The Devil’s Tattoo is as heavy and fuzz as their debut, also with some Howl alike dirty root acoustic tracks.

Stunning debut from Manchester Dance-Rock four-piece Delphic, who was also mentioned in BBC’s Sound of 2010, and being compared to New Order for their mixture of Electronic and Guitar playing. Acolyte is also recommend to fans of Klaxons.

10022 Tindersticks

Tindersticks – Falling Down A Moutain

The eighth album (not includng the soundtracks) from Nottingham’s Chamber-Pop outfit Tindersticks, also the first released by 4AD after Beggars Banquet was closed. Falling Down A Moutain was made in a different moods as frontman Stuart Staples moved to France, the album also features appearance from Terry Edwards and David Kitt.

Outstanding track: ‘Harmony Around My Table’.

Not affiliated or rival to Dream City Film Club, Two Door Cinema Club is a drummer-less trio from Northern Ireland, who was penned as one of the ‘Sound of 2010’ by BBC. After four singes on electronic label Kitsuné, the band to release their debut full length. Tourist History is, think Bloc Party use a drum machine instead playing Math and Indie.

Outstanding tracks: ‘Undercover Martyn’ & ‘This Is The Life’.

Third album from Baltimore’s girl and boy duo, Beach House, consisted of singer Victoria Legrand (who has a unique vocal) and guitarist Alex Scally. Teen Dream is a typical Dream Pop and Shoegazing album, which is produced by Chris Coady (TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs).

Outstanding track: ‘Walk In The Park’.

10019 Frightened Rabbit

Frightened Rabbit – The Winter Of Mixed Drinks
UK: 1st Mar – Fat Cat

Third album from Scottish Indie-folk five-piece Frightened Rabbit, which was Scott Hutchinson’s one man band initialy. The Winter Of Mixed Drinks is lighter than their previous works, but it’s just another album about isolation, somehow like their Scottish fella and label mates The Twilight Sad.

Outstanding track: ‘Swim Until You Can’t See Land.
