#07055 The KBC

The KBC – On The Beat!
JP: 10th Jan – Fabtone
UK: due for July – High Voltage

Another case that band release their album in Japan first and later in their home or never see the light of day. Preston’s The KBC had made a fantanstic Madchester album in spite of they have a ‘one-of-the-most-boring-names’.

Outstanding track: ‘Pride Before The Fall’.

Kubichek! – Not Enough Night

Newcastle four-piece Kubichek!’s debut, unlike their Northern mates Futureheads or Maximo Park, a complete punk album with a little sense of post punk. Including the very first two singles via Fantastic Plastic, and this is the first ever album release for 30:30 recordings.

#07050 Art Brut

Art Brut – It’s A Bit Complicated
UK: 25th Jun – Mute
US: 19th Jun – Downtown

It’s a bit complicated for the band to release thier long-awaited second album, in spite of we had already had a preview from last year’s ep Nag Nag Nag Nag. The unique way of vocal and the punk effects they made are not going to be changed with the change of label.

Outstanding tracks: ‘Nag Nag Nag Nag’ & ‘Direct Hit’.
