Alterkicks – Do Everything I Taught You

Alterkicks formed 3 years ago in Liverpool, first picked up by Fierce Panda, later via Moshi Moshi, finally settled on B-Unique who recently have signed many rising new bands. After two further singles, the eagerly-awaited debut is out. Do Everything I Taught You, also the title for their debut single, consisted of thirteen sad pop songs, inheriting all the good tresures that the old Mersy bands hid.

The return of their original guitarist who left the band on 2000, now the five piece line up Six By Seven come back with their 6th album, their strongest since The Closer You Get. The album captures the early sound that appeared in their debut The Things We Make, white noise, even there are post rock instrumental. Surely the best reunion.

Euros Childs – The Miracle Inn

Third album in 18 months from the ex Gorky’s frontman, following his Welsh language album early this year, here come his second English language album entitled The Miracle Inn. What’s inside are totally 8 tracks of folk pieces sometimes with joyful piano, the self title track is a 15 minute long concept folk epic, which is actually insisted of 5 separate tunes.
 
Outstanding track: ‘Horse Riding’.
