#07018 Kaiser Chiefs

Kaiser Chiefs – Yours Truly, Angry Mob
UK: 26th Feb – B-Unique

Leeds’ Kaiser Chiefs come back with the eagerly awaited second album, sadly it only reachs the half standard of their previous critical accalimed debut Employment. Influnced by bands like Madness and Blur, The Kaisers are somehow ironic in lyrics.

Outstanding tracks: ‘Ruby’ & ‘I Can Do Without You’.

#07017 Euros Childs

Euros Childs – Bore Da
UK: 5th Mar – Wichita

Another solo album, this time by the former lead singer of Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci which split last year. Bore Da (which means Good Morning in English) is his second album, a follow-up to last year’s Chops, different from Chops, Bore Da is all sung in Welsh Language. Euros’ own works is more easy listening than the Gorkys, 12 sunshine country folk pieces are compared to Gruff Rhys’ (frontman of another great Welsh band SFA) debut album (not his second in English).

#07016 Brett Anderson

Brett Anderson – Brett Anderson
UK: 26th Mar – Drowned In Sound

Former frontman of the famous brit-pop band Suede, strikes back with his debut solo album near the age of 40. After Suede split in 2003, Brett reunited with the original Suede guitarist Burnard Butler to form The Tears, after one album, he still decided to put out a solo album. This self-titled album is made of orchestral strings of loops, Brett had played most instruments including guitars. It’s better than The Tears, it’s better for Brett without Bernard.

#07013 The Electric Soft Parade

The Electric Soft Parade – No Need To Be Downhearted
UK: 26th Apr – Truck

Welcome back, the White Brothers’ third album finally is to be released three more years since their last. After being dropped by BMG and devotion for two albums of Brakes, The ESP’s own material is to be heard. No Need To Be Downhearted is taken from a lyric of a Fall song, but it isn’t affected by The Fall, this is a truly ESP album, although it’s not as great as Holes In The Wall, but you must have tired of the punky Brakes, so let’s listen to the melodic ESP again.

Outstanding tracks: ‘If That’s The Case, Then I Don’t Know’ & ‘Have You Ever Felt Like It’s Too Late’.

The Rakes – Ten New Messages
UK: 19th Mar – V2

Ten New Messages is the second album from London’s The Rakes, follow-up to 2005’s Capture/Release. Openning track The World Was A Mess But His Hair Was Perfect was once used in Dior show, Little Supersitions just could be an Arctic Monkeys song, the highlight is from Suspicious Eyes for which song frontman Alan teamed up with two singers who he found via MySpace, the two devoted a rap and female background vocals.

UK: 5th Mar – Mercury

Canada’s finest The Arcade Fire, with the most-anticipated second album Neon Bible. Ten new tracks along with the re-recorded version of No Cars Go which appeared on the band’s self-titled EP. The magnificant orchestra background still remians, the sad refrain, heartbroken stories prolong the sentimentalism which Funeral made.

Outstanding tracks: ‘No Cars Go", "Intervention" & "Black Mirror".
