It Hugs Back – Inside Your Guitar

Debut album from Kent’s It Hugs Back, Inside Your Guitar was recorded in their own studio The Record Room, which is also the title for last year’s compilation of their first four singles. It Hugs Back was initially picked up by Too Pure, now switched to 4AD as the closure of the former label. Soft vocals with music sometimes mellow sometimes shoegazing, It Hugs Back brings some fresh air into new UK indie scene.
 
Outstanding track: ‘Work Day’.

Debut album from London post-punk trio, labelled as one of the sounf of 2009 by BBC. White Lies previously known as Fear Of Flying, who had released two singles on indie Young And Lost Club. After three singles under White Lies, the band put their full length debut, To Lose My Life. Compared to Joy Division and Echo & The Bunnymen.
 
Outstanding tracks: ‘To Lose My Life’ & ‘Unfinished Business’.
