Does It Offend You, Yeah? – You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into

Debut album from Liverpool’s Does It Offend You, Yeah?, who took their name after a quote in an episode of ‘The Office’. In spite of this name, the hysteric nu rave rocker just cross between Klaxons and Justice.

#08031 The Kooks

The Kooks – Konk
UK: 14th Apr – Virgin

Brighton’s Kooks come back with their second album, Konk is almost aborted as the band was nearly split. The album is truly a Kooks style one, the southern accent rocks. Some country music can be found on some of the tracks, but it always sounds unique being played by Kooks.

Outstanding track: ‘Always Where I Need To Be’.

#08029 Mystery Jets

Mystery Jets – Twenty One
UK: 24th Mar – 679

Long-awaited second album from Eel Pie’s very own Mystery Jets, a total 24 months after their debut Making Dens was released. According to Blaine, the mainman, Twenty One is an important age and from where the title comes. Although Blaine’s father Henry doesn’t appear on the band’s photo, but his name is still credited in the writer’s place. Twenty One is more indie than prog compared to Making Dens.

Outstanding tracks: ‘Young Love’ & ‘Flakes’.

Even though they call themselves Tokyo Police Club, in fact they are from a Canadian city called Newmarket. Elephant Shell is their full length debut after last year’s mini-ablum A Lesson In Crime, which is said to be the shortest album of all time with only 16-minute running time. The band are influenced by indie gods Pixies. New Canada rock revolution is coming.
