#08002 Sons And Daughters

Sons And Daughters – This Gift
UK: 28th Jan – Domino

Long awaited second album from Glasgow’s Sons And Daughters, who have unique female and male duet vocals. But for the new album, the daughters have taken almost all the vocal duty, while the Sons are in the background. Musically, there is no further improvement.

Outstanding track: ‘Darling’.

#08001 British Sea Power

British Sea Power – Do You Like Rock Music?
UK: 14th Jan – Rough Trade
US: 8th Feb – Rough Trade

Third album from Brighton’s very own British Sea Power, the title directly shows they’ve made a rock album. As their Keyboard player Hamilton left last year to focus his own project Brakes.  In spite of the departure of Hamilton, the remaining four still replace him with orchstral or some other effects while making their roughest and heaviest records ever.

Outstanding track: ‘Waving Flags’.
