The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, a band from New York, but could be mistaken for a C86/Shoegazing band from UK. The band named after a children’s story, their debut EP was self-released on 2007, then signed to Slumberland, and fianly comes their self-titled debut album. Their primary influences are My Bloody Valentine and The Jesus And Mary Chain. The music is pure at heart and can cure the pain.

#09048 Leaves

Leaves – We Are Shadows
IS: 11th May – Leaves

We Are Shadows is the third album from Leaves, the one-time Icelandic Doves, who received positive review for their magnificient debut album ‘Breathe’ in 2002, but was followed by a disappointing second album three years later. Now the band is unsigned and manage by themselves, but unfortunately, the album is boring again.

#09046 Lightning Seeds

Lightning Seeds – Four Winds
UK: 18th May – Stage Three

First Lightning Seeds album for ten years, Ian Broudie and the company come back and give us a thrill. The man who wrote the song for England’s football team, the massive hit ‘Three Lions’, released his debut solo album in 2004, which is a folk acoustic album. Four Winds can’t be compared to previous Lightning Seeds, but it’s not a bad album, at least with smooth melody and easy for listening.

Outstanding track: ‘I Still Feel The Same’.

#09045 Golden Silvers

Golden Silvers – True Romance
UK: 27th Apr – XL

Debut album from London indie trio Golden Silvers, with a line-up of keyboard-bass-drums, without guitar. True Romance is a 70’s retro album, while some tracks even sound like Coldplay does a 70’s oldie.

Outstanding tracks: ‘True Romance (True No. 9 Blues)’ & ‘Magic Touch’.

#09044 Manic Street Preachers

Manic Street Preachers – Journal For Plague Lovers
UK: 18th May – Columbia

The ninth album sees Manics come back to a four-piece lyrically, Journal For Plague Lovers use all the lyrics that Ricky Edwards left before he missed. And this can be regarded an album follows ‘The Holy Bible’ musically. No single will be released and this is also the last album for Sony.

Outstandig track: ‘Jackie Collins Existential Question Time’.
