#08076 Brett Anderson

Brett Anderson – Wilderness
USB Stick: 7th Jul
Compact Disc: 1st Sep

Ex front man of Suede and then The Tears chose to release his second solo album thru USB stick format first. This 9-track album mainly using acoustic guitar and piano, and with Brett’s no more glamorous pale voice. Marking up a sign of the end of a time.

#08075 Primal Scream

Primal Scream – Beautiful Future
UK: 21st Jul – B-Unique

9th album from Primal Scream, the first for their new label. If their previous one Riot City Blues let you down somehow, and then you shouldn’t miss this one. Beautiful Future, as the title suggests, the Screams are back to electro, most similiar to Vanishing Point era’s.

Outstanding track: ‘Can’t Go Back’.

#08071 Sennen

Sennen – Where The Light Gets In
UK: 26th May – Hungry Audio

Debut full length from Norwich’s Sennen, who was labelled shoegazing, but not really. The first half of the album is pretty shoegazing, while the rest of is quite post rock. With the help of local indie label Hungry Audio, Sennen get to release recordings, they must be one of the most underrated bands.

Outstanding track: ‘Blackout’.

#08070 Beck

Beck – Modern Guilt
UK: 7th Jul – XL
US: 8th Jul – Geffen

Beck’s 8th official album, who claimed Pink Floyd was the main influence. Psychedelica plays an important part in Modern Guilt, less in rhythms. Every album that Beck made is a different taste of various kind of music gerne. Everchanging.

Outstanding tracks: ‘Chemtrails’ & ‘Orphans’.
